Due to the high winds and heavy rain forecast we have decided to cancel this afternoons session at the Steven Burke Circuit. We apologise for the cancellation but the safety of the riders has to be put first. On a positive note the weather looks good for the CX at Giggleswick tomorrow!
This Saturday is the road session at the Steven Burke circuit at Colne / Barrowford. Access is off Wilton Street, Barrowford BB98PU. 1:30-3:30pm. £3 per rider. This session is for all groups with no AM session at Cliffe Castle. Please note any bike can be used in the beginner group. However a road bike or CX bike with road tyres is required for the older group. Please also make sure all limbs are covered with suitable pants / jacket and long fingered gloves are worn. Please also bring a drink and a snack. See you on Saturday
This Saturday is the monthly Road session and is being held at The Steven Burke Circuit, Colne. This session is for all riders with no session being held at Cliffe Castle. Access is off Wilton Street, Barrowford BB98PU.The session is being held between 1:00pm and 2:30pm. Please arrive in good time for a 1:00pm start. Please dress according to the weather with long fingered gloves required. Please also bring a drink and a snack.
This Saturday is the MTB session for the older riders. This will be a guided ride from St Ives, Bingley BD16 1AT. please arrive at 1:15 with the session running between 1:30 and 3:30. We will meet in the carpark by the toilets at the top of the play area. The forecast is cool so please make sure you have a long armed top/bottoms, long fingered gloves, jacket, drink and snack. A spare tube and means to change it would also be handy. If there are any other parents that can ride please comment below. For the younger group (usually coached by Peter/Steve/Lucy/Chris. This session will be at Cliffe Castle arrive at 10:00 for a 10:15 start. The session will run until 11:30 as usual. Note for parents…..Please make sure you do not leave your young rider and are available throughout the session.
Just a quick reminder regarding future Saturdays sessions at UAK. As mentioned in the recent newsletter we are now going to be meeting in the carpark at Cliffe Castle off Spring Gardens Lane, BD20 6LH. Parents please warn your children this is a public car park and can get very busy so please be cautious when riding in here. The cafe will be also be open for you to get warm drinks and food. This starts this Saturday and will apply to all future Saturday sessions that would normally be at UAK. In addition, we are now moving towards some cooler weather. Please can you make sure all riders have long fingered gloves, long leg pants, long sleeves and a waterproof jacket when required. As always please make sure all riders have a drink and snack.
