Yorkshire Cyclo-Cross Summer Series

The Yorkshire Cyclo-Cross Summer Series 2016 will be starting soon.  If required, pre-registration is available until the 20th April 2016.  Below is an extract from their website to help you submit your racers details. If you rode winter cross and your details haven’t changed from the signing on sheet, just e-mail us your name and BC Licence number. If you are new or your details have changed i.e. Team or telephone number please send us the following information and make sure you separate all the details with, (commas) it will help. The format we require the information is below: Forename Surname, Team, BC licence Number, Category, DOB(DD/MM/YYYY),Sex(M or F), Emergency contact number We will take pre-registration up until 20th April 2016. Information & club update April 2016

Monday Marley Monday Marley session start again on Monday 4th April 6:30pm – 7:30pm, £2 for members £3 for non members. As the weather is so unpredictable please make sure they wrap up warm till we hopefully get warmer weather. Saturday Sessions Saturday sessions continue to run at UAK (formally Greenhead School Keighley) 10am – 11:30am meet in the bottom car park near the school main entrance. Roller/turbo sessions What a success this was, this is the 1st time we have done this and was a learning curve for us all as we didn’t know how it would take off or if the children would enjoy it. The children took to it really quickly and well with some adults joining in as we got going. We had nearly 30 riders taking part in some of these sessions. Friday Night Circuit Sessions

The club have booked 6 sessions at the Closed Road Circuit, Colne on the following dates: Friday 13th May Friday 27th May Friday 10th June Friday 17th June Friday 1st July Friday 15th July We can access the track from 6:45pm each night, with the coached sessions running until 8:30pm. These sessions are available to all riders irrespective of age, if you have a road bike, or a cross bike with road tyres, and are capable of riding independently for the duration of the session. These track sessions are also available to adults/parents linked to the club. Session costs TBC. The car park is accessed of Regent Street, Colne – which runs along the side of the ASDA store.

British Schools Cycling Association Yorkshire Roller Competition

British Schools Cycling Association Yorkshire Roller Competition is on this Sunday 13th March starting at 9 30am at the Richard Dunn Sports Main Hall.This is part of a series forming our Regional Best All Rounder Competition. We will also be awarding certificates to last year’s BAR winners. The competition will consist of 2 x 500m sprints and a 1000m race but will take until mid afternoon as every rider takes their turn in their age cat for each event. Please bring chairs as the centre have limited numbers and your own warm up rollers if you have them. There will be a couple set up for shared use. Under 11 and younger have their front wheel supported but older cats don’t but can be held. The gear restrictions may differ from BC as the age cats are slightly different. Mark’s London to Paris cycle ride for Bradford Hospitals Children’s Charity

Hi everyone, On June 22nd this year, I’ll be joining a 3 day charity cycle ride from London to Paris in aid of Bradford Children’s Hospital. I need to raise £1,250 for the charity before this date. If I don’t raise it all, I intend to make up the shortfall myself. This is where you can hopefully help me out by sponsoring me. All monies that I can raise up until this date mean that I will have less to add to it at the end. If we reach the target, I’ll put in an extra £100 on top. If anyone has any money raising ideas, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know.
